- Be thoughtful when giving suggestions - the person suffering from depression is usually fully aware and wishes life was different.
- Invite them to engage in healthy activities like going together for walks.
- Pray for them and pray with them if they desire.
- Offer to help with household duties or cook healthy meals for them.
- Encourage them to seek professional help .
- Be patient - recovery from depression can be slow.
